I hate to burst your bubble but...is there a big difference (late season
breathers) between TCU, Tulane, S. Miss, and S.Fla and the BEAST's Rutgers,
Seton Hall, St. John's, Providence and S. Fla ? You are a victim of CBS' and
ESPN's TV promotions (i.e. Big Monday). I have been living right in the middle
of the Big East since it's inception and, yes, there are some really good
teams, but, as in C-USA and every other conference, there are the bottom
feeders, too.
UC, UL, DePaul and Marquette will only add to the top echelon. Georgetown
(Ewing and AI haven't been there for years) and WVU are just OK, as is
America's and NBC's team ND.
UC can play with Syracuse, Villanova, and Pitt. UConn has lots of height
but few shooters. BC would have really tough time with UC's defense and they'll
be gone next year anyway.
The myth that all BEAST teams have three 7 foot centers is not true.
