I hear what you are saying but our two point guards had 0 assists during the game. I could not believe that stat when I saw it. You arent going to win games against quality teams without assists from your point guards.

misses it. We definitely need to do a better job of consistently passing
the ball. There have been a few games where we pass the ball and get great
open looks, hence the high scoring games, and then there are games like last
one. I don't think that there is a problem with the offense as a whole
since we have scored 85+ points on 50%+ shooting. But within those games we
have been passing the ball. What I took out of the Illinois loss is more we
beat ourselves then them crushing us. As has been pointed out we shoot from
the line like we usually do and make a couple of the open shots we had and
it is much closer if not an upset. We played very well on defense holding
them to their lowest point total as well as their lowest shooting. We can
win games when our defense plays well. However we need to move the ball
better and make the extra pass.

I have a strong feeling he already spends sufficient
time on offense. The problem is our point guard
doesnt want to share the ball.

They have to create on the O-side of the ball
because many times our initial
strategy doesn't work, and I think this leads to the
poor shot selection.
Often times, they get buy with their athleticism and
ability to "make
shots", which is what I would define talent to be.
What they lack is a
refined strategy and proper execution of what they
do now.
When they come up against a team with as much talent
as them and the ability
to execute their game, this is where we start to
have problems. The defense
is, as usual, one of the best in college ball, if
not the best
There is no question that Huggins needs to spend
some more time in practice
on offense if he can find the time. This team if
plan A doesn't work on
offense and they have to go on their own to plan B
they are completely lost. There
is such a thing as basketball smarts or whatever
and I cant think of anyone
on this team who has that. Don
