Was at the game in Dayton.
Armein - great - I'm SO relieved he seems to have found the basket! (6 boards too)
As someone who was hard on him early, I am pleased to see him playing with more confidence. He looks like a new man.
Jihad - absolutely miserable - I've never seen a point guard dribble around in circles so much to no end (other than turning the ball over) - they are so much better when Chadd runs the point
I said this early on, but since Jihad was scoring it did not seem to be that big of a deal. Jihad is our Lionel Chalmers. I've been waiting for Andy to make that post since he was always a big Chalmers fan, but he was getting his green shirt cleaned for the Vandy game this Thursday.
Hicks steady - Max - steady White - steady - good boards from all 3 and Armein (once they woke up - a lot of standing around esp. in 1st half)
good thing they came out and guarded in 2nd half - Dayton lit them up from 3 pt land in 1st half
Dayton sure supports their team! Very impressive fans
Not an impressive win, certainly a lot closer than I thought, but a road win in a traditionally tough venue is nice
One thing I have noticed, is how this team has come on late, reminiscent of some early 90 teams. During the final four year, we never blew out anyone until the 17-2 run in the final 5 minutes and such. I would like to see if this team can maintain a blowout and they will have there chances over the next few weeks with the non-state schools and Longwood. I just hope Bevies and Butthead are not Longwood's mascot.
