Wasn't one of the key criticisms of KY after the Laetner miracle shot
that they *didn't* guard the guy inbounding the ball?
I am not a coach, nor have I played one on TV, but I think having a
tall guy challenging you inbounding the ball makes it difficult to get
the ball to the spot you want. If you don't put a man on the guy
inbounding, he has better vision of the court and you don;t have
someone cutting his angles. Just a thought.
