Burks made the Grizzles injured list

They cut the prior years first round pick Troy Bell over Burks.
 
But, Bell has a guaranteed contract, does this mean Memphis still has to pay him ?
 
Do they retain his rights or how does that work. If another team picks him up, does he get paid from both places ?
 
I was hoping Logan would make it too. Its a shame because he sure dominated his last year.
