Or to take it a step farther, the kid says that he will be looking at UC and Kentucky, so you go onto say and talk for an hour about why he should go to UK, thus disqualifying UK from recruiting him :)

I see this as a very constructive post which points out the realities of
NCAA rules. Clearly, all fans should be cautious. Nevertheless, envision
the following scenario. I happen to be sitting next to a young man on a
plane, and he is about 6'11" tall, and built like Shaq. He strikes up a
conversation, mentions that he has just won MickeyD honors, has decided to
spend 4 years in college before going to the NBA, and is looking for a
school with a good basketball program. He looks at me, waiting for my
response. Being cognizant of NCAA rules, I comment on the weather. :)
Yeah, right.
