Just to follow up - this blurb was in this mornings Enq.
UC center Robert Whaley is expected to return to Cincinnati this month
to complete the academic work he needs to be eligible to play in
2004-05, but don't expect to see him in a UC uniform next winter even if
he is cleared academically.
Goin said two weeks ago that he was "considering moving on without him"
and nothing has happened since then to change his mind. Whaley averaged
5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds last season after an All-American career at
Barton County (Kan.) Community College.
Without the 6-foot-10 Whaley, the Bearcats will field a team with no
player taller than 6-8. The only true center will be redshirt freshman
Asrangue Souleymane, a raw talent from the Central African Republic who
remains in the early development stages.

You guys should stop worrying or thinking about Whaley. He will not be
on the team this year. Repeat - he will not be on the team this year.
