I could be wrong, but it seems to me that Goin is trying to get the message
through to a guy who sometimes seems to have trouble "getting it". When I
read lines like: "There are some other things he needs to do..." "My
position right now is that..." ""I'm considering moving on without him..."
it sounds like a pretty clear last chance to either get it together or walk.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for a 6' 11" guy with athleticism, but I'm still
rooting for Whaley to get his butt back for next year.

I don't understand what Goin is so upset about. If Whaley returns in time
to fulfill his academic requirements in the third summer term then why is
Goin saying it is unlikely for his return. I was extremely encouraged from
the article about Whaley's comments on his summer work ethic and that he's
been working his butt off on his power game. There has to be to it than 3
credit hours.

This doesn't look good. Why can't these guys get their acts together? No
more excuses. Kick him off the team.
