Okay, I both understand and to a certain degree agree with you. However do
you really think with the health issues coach Huggins has had that nobody in his
close circle has not tried to get him to cut back and re think his life
style. He himself commented publicly that he would drink red wine last year for
health reasons. If your point is why hasn't Bobs friends and family done
everything possible to get him on a healthy lifestyle before this I would agree even
more. My point was beyond a certain point your behavior is your own
responsibility. Yes, if I'm having drinks with you I will somehow get you home safe.
Coach Huggins obviously was losing control of his problem. It is not his
assistants that have the problem. If they let him drive home drunk that's a different
issue. Just don't make excuses for the person who has the real problem. It
will never be addressed. To be honest I think Bobs friends and associates did him
a real disservice by covering for him as long as they did. their behavior
could have gotten him or someone else killed.
