Mike I agree. I think we were all hurt when he announced that he was
looking at other schools after committing to the Bearcats. I thought for
sure he was going to be a Bearcat. So I always kept an eye on what he was
doing and it seemed like he was doing a great job. So after investing
some time into keeping an eye on him and being excited that he was going
to be a Bearcat it was a real kick in the ass when he went to OSU. I'm
sure he had his feelings hurt when after only two days Huggs had an equal
quality recruit signed. I still think we could really use Jamar. Let
him and Jihad battle it out for the pg spot. I for one would love to see
Jamar and Twig as Bearcats. Not sure how that would work though unless a
certain worthless big man were released of his scholarship. If the rumors
are true that he is not working hard I would say good-bye to him in a
heartbeat.

This could be the line that I think may have kept the door open:

Butler verbally committed to Cincinnati as a high school sophomore but
switched to Ohio State in late August. ?That was the toughest phone call I
ever made. (Bob) Huggins is still a great coach, I have a lot of respect
for him. But I just felt like I fit in better at Ohio State,? Butler said.

Anyone have a theory on how we could get both. Didn't they both want to
go to the same school. No matter who they get to replace Jim O, the
thought of probation is enough to scare me off as a recruit if I have
other opportunities.

In a press release by Jamar, he said:

"At this point in time, I have not made any decision with regard to my
college basketball future. One can only assume that I will attend Ohio
State University until announced otherwise."

In my opinion, a door is open for the possibility of Jamar coming to
Cincinnati. The word "possibility" is the most important word in that
sentence.

Jamar is an excellent ball player and a good person. The quotes by Jamar
in the past that have been positive about UC far outweigh the negative
quotes that were attributed to him.

I'd welcome him in a heartbeat. Terwilliger too.
