Thanks Mike for the update. It is kind of sad but I have been dying for
some sort of recruiting information. If the rumor is true about searching
overseas for a big man for 2004 what does that do about the stories we
have been hearing about Pilgrim taking the last scholarship?

I think it might be a good idea to look a lot more overseas for players.
Probably a better chance of them staying longer and they seem to be better
listeners. We could use less players with attitudes and more players who
are willing to listen, learn and work hard. It has to be hard for a young
kid in the US who has been touted as a great player in his state to come
to UC and find they are just an average player at the Division 1 level.
Especially after a summer when coaches have been singing their praises.

[UC Basketball] Big Basketball Recruiting Update

Over the last week, I have made updates to nine player profiles,
including four in the last 24 hours.

Recently re-ranked players include Tyree Evans and Shawn Taggart.
Recently added players include Anthony Mason, Byron Eaton, Travis Walton
and Harvey Hale.

Walton even visited campus this past weekend per one report.
Mason is the son of the former NBA player of the same name.

All of these guys are 2005 prospects.

I'm hearing rumors of searches overseas for a big man for the 2004
class. . . .
