Besides, he stands on his own - I would hate to be a parent and feel locked into a job - if you find a better job and quit, your kid can't afford college? that would be some pressure I could do without.

I thought I read somewhere on the forum that Pilgrim`s mother works at UC
and was thus
eligible to attend UC for free. If this is true, why would he need a
