RE: Recruiting

I just noticed that on the past-recruits section
of this website UC is interested in Dupree Fletcher.
Looking further down the road, UC has signed North
Carolina's Gatorade POY in Roy Bright. We inked
Georgia's 2003 POY in Vincent Banks. Looks like
Lofton wants to join us and he will be Kentucky's
POY. Now UC may be after Wisconsin's POY in
Dupree Fletcher. If Lofton and Fletcher commit
that would give us 4 high school POY's in some
respectable states. This would be a great freshmen
class, considering we didn't officially have a freshmen
on the team last year. You can also throw Souleymane
into the mix and this class looks solid from top to
bottom. The best thing is they all will probably
stay until their junior or senior years. I say forgot
about another big men and go after Lofton and Flecther.
Lets start putting together the pieces to not only
compete in the Big East, but to win it on a consistent
basis.

Does anybody have a clue to where the last
scholarship will go? It sounds like Chris
Lofton is a near lock for us, but we have
heard that story before(Tack Minor-Jamar Butler).
So that gives us one more scholarship if Pilgrim
doesn't get his academics in order. Will Huggs
go after the JC point guard or will he give the
scholarship to a big men. I heard that Jerome Habel
has re-opened his recruitment and is exploring all
options. He sounds like a big risk giving the
fact that he is currently attending night school.
As for the 2005 class, how come we are not recruiting
any power forwards or centers. We lose Maxiell and
Whaley after next year. If I was a high school PF or
C playing on the east coast I would be licking my chops
for Cincy to recruit me. They have a chance to come
in and start their freshmen year, while playing in the
best basketball conference ever assembled.
The last thing I am wondering about is our schedule for
next year. It sounds like we will be battle tested with
some quality opponents. We play Purdue-Wake Forest-Xavier-
Dayton...Does anybody know who else will be playing in the
Las Vegas Invitational in December? And I heard that ESPN
is trying to schedule a marquee game against a Big East opponent
next year. Does anybody know anything about that game?

Has the final AP and Coaches poll come out yet? If so could someone reply
with the final standings?
