Last scholarship

From: Harris, Derek C

Does anybody know if we are going to give up our last
scholarship to a big men or give it back to Mike Pilgrim?
From the active recruits on this website, Jerome Habel has
committed to FSU, Camara has also verbally committed to another
school, Bell looks like a long shot-Grades probably an issue, and
Johnson doesn't seem to be very interested in us. Is their another
big men available? I personally hope we give it back to Pilgrim.
I could see him becoming a dominant player on the glass and on
defense. From what I saw in last years summer league he plays
hard all the time. Lets hope his head is on straight.

Sounds like a solid recruit to me. He may not solve our PG problem but he
sounds like he will be a good long-term player. Besides, I still believe
Chad can handle the point. Assuming his back doesnt give out.

nobody has mentioned this....I found this on Rivals

Lofton Leaning to Cincy

After leading his Mason County High School team to the Kentucky state
championship game, averaging 28 points and 10 rebounds in the tournament,
Chris Lofton told RivalsHoops.com that he will probably sign with Cincinnati
in the spring. Arkansas, Notre Dame, and Florida are still in the mix
although only Cincinnati and Arkansas have made scholarship offers. Lofton
cited style of play and proximity to his home as being in Cincinnati's
favor.

C'mon. You've gotta give Spud a little more credit ....

360s, 2-handed reverse jams, windmills

He brought the funk and the noise.

I'm all for equal opportunity, but after seeing the replay of the contest
it
was clear this girl won strictly because she was a girl. She can dunk and
even put down one while covering her eyes with her opposite hand while
dunking (ala Dee Brown). But all-in-all the men's dunks were much much
better. Her dunks would've been considered average if done by a guy. The
sight of seeing a girl make some nice dunks got her bonus points the guys
don't get. Much in the same fashion that Spud Webb won because he was
only
5'7".

Still gotta give her credit. She'll really bring much needed additional
interest to the women's game.
