Is it Ethically wrong then to read a newspaper someone left behind then?
My group at work gets the Wall Street Journal and we pass it around. We
only get one copy of it but seven execs read it. The same happens for our
PC Magazine. We might have to shut down all of the libraries if this is
the case.

I'm not sure I see what is wrong with this approach. I do know that it is
a lot of BS to force me to give you my email address to get something that
is free. I'm really tired of unwanted emails and unwanted phone calls.
Last night it took us two hours to get our two week old baby to sleep at
8:30 and then we get a solicitation phone call that wakes him up. I'm
seriously thinking about disconnecting my home phone and just using the
cell phones. I never get any solicitations on it. I just think it is
wrong for them to sell our email addresses to other companies for
solicitation. <Done with my rant on that one>

If it is not illegal to pick up a newspaper and read it at the coffee shop
then I don't see what is wrong with this approach. Maybe someone could
set up a dummy email account and password that we always use to log on. It
seems like most of the newspapers we use are the same ones anyways. Just
a thought.

Ethical means it would be a violation of copyright laws. You cannot take
someone's copyrighted material and copy it and use it yourself unless you
have permission. It would probably be a pain to get permission since many
newspapers are going this route (Columbus, Charlotte, New York, Dallas)
and
likely they would not want to give there stuff away to other's sites.

That is 'technically' possible but probably not ethical

'Ethical'? Huh, didn't realize it was a 'ethical' thing. That's fine,
I
have no choice then, it's OK. I just don't want to have to 'join' or
be
'forced' to register to another sight just to read an article about a
school that I
donate well over a grand to.

I guess I just won't read the article. {?} Simple I suppose. Thanks
guys.
