It is a violation of copyright laws to take someone else's work and post it
on your site without permission. Yes, you'd probably just get a cease and
desist order, but why do it knowing it is wrong?
I think the BearcatNews.com guys already do so much, but if you or someone
else is volunteering to set up these accounts, you can let them know and
maybe they will include this info on their site! :)

I think that for what we use it for, if we gave credit to the writer,
and supplied a link to it, the worst that could happen is they would
tell us not to do it. If we didn't then they might take more action, a
cease and desist(sp) order would come first.
I don't think a newspaper would have issue with it.
Why not just register username: bearcat Password: bearcat each time
then we all know how to log in ;) When in doubt we would try those UN
and PW and we'd be in...

Ethical means it would be a violation of copyright laws. You cannot
take someone's copyrighted material and copy it and use it yourself
unless you have permission. It would probably be a pain to get
permission since many newspapers are going this route (Columbus,
Charlotte, New York, Dallas) and likely they would not want to give
there stuff away to other's sites.

'Ethical'? Huh, didn't realize it was a 'ethical' thing. That's
I
have no choice then, it's OK. I just don't want to have to 'join' orbe
'forced' to register to another sight just to read an article about aschool that I
donate well over a grand to.guys.
I guess I just won't read the article. {?} Simple I suppose. Thanks
