I think you guys are missing another important point with James at the
point versus Nick Williams - Defense. James gets in the face of the
opposing point guard and does not allow him easy access to the ball or a
clear lane like Nick does. Nick is always too far from his guy, has a
hard time keeping up with his guy and has trouble getting through screens.
I would like to see the Bearcats press more with James at the point. Now
don't get me wrong, I like Nick as a shooting guard (his natural
position). I think he shoots it well and I think he guards decent enough
to guard an shooting guard and he could spell White at the point.

One thing I haven't seen James do is dribble the ball out of bounds with
nobody on him lately. A good sign. He is going to make some mistakes
because he is taller and a little slower but he will make up for that with
passing the ball, driving to the lane and blocking shots. Didn't Nick
Williams do something stupid at the end of the half against Charlotte? I
just can't remember it right now. Lack of sleep I guess. Anyway, the
point is I don't think Nick handles the pressure very well right now. I
vote for James White at point. It can't be any worse can it?

Absolutely Bryan. Like I had posted numerous times, only I said
Kirkland,
UC needed a point, and James couldn't have filled the role any better. It
has jump started the offense and made everything more fluid, passes are
crisp
and at the point of the shooter where he is already in position to shoot
without having to reach.

Plus James (like Kirk) can breakdown off the dribble and simply take it to
the rack. They seem to be coming together at the perfect time of the year
that
you want to see. Just get out of DePaul with a *w*....any *w* would be
fine,
but a convincing win would bode well (I think) for Saturday.

GO BEARCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRING THE TITLE BACK WHERE IT
BELONGS!!!!!!!!!!!
