That is correct, St Joe's gym holds 3,200.  If I remember right, the seating
capacity was actually increased to 3,200 in the early 90's.  But in response
to the other part of your post, Indiana high school gymnasiums hold as many
as 10,000.

I have relatives in New Castle, Ind., where the likes of Kent Benson and
Steve Alford have played in front of more than 10,000 in "The Fieldhouse".

havent had a chance to look but they dont play their home games there do 
they? High school gyms in Indiana hold as many as 5,000. If thats true I bet
they 
wish they had a bigger gym this year. Don
