Not quite.  The 2001 C-USA championship was decided by UC and Memphis at
The Shoe.  Steve Logan made a running layup as time expired in
regulation to send the game into OT.  UC ended up winning in OT.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the last time the conference
championship came down to Memphis vs. UC, was the 1992-92 season in the
Great Midwest.  UC set some sort of record that year by beating Memphis
(then Memphis St.) four times in the same season.  I think we all
remember how far UC made it in the NCAAs that year.  I hope that's a
sign of things to come!!!
