RE: Whaley out for Tulane (at least)

As long as Whaley is out, I hope that we see Huggins try a frontline
with either White or Kirkland at PF, and one of the "big men" at center.
I think that a lineup of Maxiell/White/Kirkland or Hicks/White/Kirkland
can hold its own on the boards and in the post against most teams, and
would provide the best possible passing, scoring, and use of the
available talent. White and Kirkland are actually as tall or taller
than the "big men", and while they don't have the physical strength,
they could likely hold their own against smaller or more "finesse"
oriented PFs.

Tulane's starting PF, Vytas Tauranas, is only 6-5 and spends a fair
amount of time away from the basket. I think it would be worth a shot
to give the two SFs some time together on the floor up front.

You have got it all right. I was hopeing Whaley would start to come
around.
On offense he at least put some effort into it. On defense and
rebounding he
just stood there flat footed and no effort. Most JC guys Hugs has gotten
over
the past few years didnt do their best until the second year. Problem is
like
you said we need him this year. But this late in the season if he hasnt
figured
it out by now he has to play defense and rebound I dont know. Hopefully
sitting home tonight will be a wakeup call. Hicks is putting out some
effort this
year, too bad he isnt 6-10. Come on Whaley the team needs you. Don
