RE: Whaley out for Tulane (at least)

We've been getting by so far this season without a true center but come
conference and ncaa tournament play it's gonna be hard to beat teams with
good "big men" when you have to match up with a couple of 6'5"-6'7" centers
and power forwards.

Despite the teams success without much help from Whaley so far, I still
think he's a major key to the season.  We need an aggressive, physical,
tall, big-bodied presence to match up with the better teams.

I hope he gets his head on straight soon.

According to the Enquirer this morning, Whaley will not even make the trip
to Tulane for tonight's game.  He did not "satisfy Huggins' requirements".
 
I know it's still early, but he's beginning to look like the big loser many
said he was when they warned against recruiting him.
