Although Pitino has a lot of ties to the northeast ...

I don't think he would be interested.
1) Louisville has a much richer basketball tradition.
2) St. John's home court, Alumni Hall only seats 6,008 (Freedom Hall -
18,865).
3) He likes living in Kentucky; he's a horse owner.
4) After his mediocre NBA stint, I'm certain he wants to redeem himself at
Louisville.

I've seen several articles talking about the fact that Pitino's name is one
being tossed around the area quite a bit also. Unlike Calipari, Pitino has
not taken his name out of consideration for the job. I think if the money
was right, Slick Rick would probably take the job and bring Telfair along
with him. Imagine Rick at home in his best recruiting area with a kid that
is already a NYC legend.

During the half of the UK-UNC, CBS (I think) did a piece about the open
St.
John's position. One name that emerged was John Calipari.

Also, they identified some coaches on the hot seat, including the VA
coach -
Pete Gillen. Could not happen to a nicer guy.

Go Cats!

Murray State up by 2 over Loserville, uh... Louisville... at the half.
