to clarify, I was celebrating. :)
Seriously, I prefer seeing them not do so well when they go elsewhere
it makes me feel better about "losing" them. When they are Cincy guysvery
who go elsewhere, I feel better with an added little tingle. My wife
thinks I should go to the doctor as it should not be causing a tingle.
I cannot explain it other than simply relate that it happens.
As for Sylvester, based on his current level of improvement, he'd see
little to no playing time on this year's UC team and I did not expect
that when he went to OSU. I have no explanation for his lack of
improvement, only (like my tingle) that it exists.
As for the schedule thing, other than this year, UC usually plays a
tough OOC schedule, but has issues when it comes to conferencestrength.
OSU plays in a better conference, but that is ending shortly solooking
into the future, the point is moot.

Sorry, have to respond to this one...
much like how tOSU fans have the "pleasure" of watching UCAccording to what was Ohio State's schedule "much tougher" than
football when it's on tv. I would not consider basketball Ohio
State's premier sport even though they went to the final four
in 1999 and they play a much tougher schedule than UC ( I know
I am beating a dead horse with the schedule thing),
UC's? One RPI site I saw had UC #9 and OSU #17, Sagarin had it
UC #36 and OSU #27. Sounds pretty close to me.
but we all know UC's football team is nothing to write home aboutYeah, OSU has killed them in the last two games haven't they? That
either.
is only a comment to say that UC's football team is not where I
would like to see it, but they can play.
Big deal you lost Matt and Jamar to tOSU, Josh Duncan is goingMy point was that it is funny how these things work out when players
to Xavier thats the way it goes sometimes. Ohio State lost 3
recruits for football last year on signing day. I just think it
is a waste of time to complain about kids that got away and when
they play poorley to make it sound like they got what they
deserved for not coming to UC, well thats not right.-joey
go to one school over another, for whatever reason, and they do not
perform up to expectations. Huggs has a proven track record of
developing players into the best that they can be. I do not know
about other coaches, but I do follow former UC recruits to see how
they do. Mine was an observation more than a celebration over their
misfortune. You can take it however you want, but do not presume to
know what I meant and then come down on me for it. Mine was a shot
at those that felt Huggs lost players that he should have gotten
from the Cincy area, when maybe Huggs chose the "right" player for
UC in the first place.
