The indication we have seen from several of the "in the Know" people is that
Fullcourt works by intercepting the satellite links that the local
broadcaster uses (in this case Channel 19).  Then the legal folks get
together and Ch 19 gets to keep half their commercials and ESPN gets to
insert national commercials over the other half.  Everybody wins, some ch19
advertisers get a wider broadcast, ch19 gets some extra bucks (maybe from
BOTH ESPN and the advertisers), ESPN gets a ready-made product, and Anthony
Buford gets to be nationally televised. 

Normally, Ch 19 uses a coaxial feed to get their signal from 1 2/3 arena
(formarly the Shoe) to their broadcast facility downtown.
For the Valpariso game, it would have taken too much cable to string along
I-74, around 465 (circle freeway around Indy) and then up route 65 to
Valpariso... So they paid to send it to satellite to get the signal back to
Cincy, thus there was a signal for ESPN to intercept and re-sell. 

Again, I posted that it was going to be on, but I am sorry that I didn't
re-post on game day.
