I've been keeping a eye on the other scores as well, unfortunately they
really don't mean much, or so I have to keep telling myself. If this team
can continue to play the defense and rebound then I think we have just as
good of a chance as anyone!! I'm definitely excited for this year.

I know it is early and that these midmajors that we are crushing aren't very
telling but I like our team when you think about this.

Missouri ranked #5 beats Oakland by 5 points (we win by 29) and Coppin St
by only 9 (we win by 20) and Marquette #23 beats Valparaiso by 5 at home (We
beat them in their gym where they are 113-15 by 19). We are missing James
White (who could end up being our best player and in this game we are
missing Whaley. Am I crazy to think this team is good enough to win the
National Championship based on this information. I'm not predicting it but
I see no reason we shouldn't be a top 5 team. With this defense and the
depth I just don't see any reason not to be excited about this team.

Love these comments:

Valparaiso coach Homer Drew said it was hard to tell that the Bearcats were
missing their starting center.

"They just reloaded with someone else," he said. "There was just one less in
the rotation."

Drew, whose team lost to Marquette by five and South Florida by two, said UC
is better than both of its Conference USA rivals.

"Cincinnati has the edge just in depth," he said.
