Ha! Sorry! I calculated surface area instead of area. Thanks for the
correction. Still, that is an additional 5x10 area to guard inside the arc,
so I'll let my point stand. :)

I think it would be a smart and classy move to recognize Shields before

start of the exhibition game for his years of coaching in this area.

I think moving the line back only 9" might have a bigger affect than some
think. I did a quick calculation and that amounts to almost 200 more
square
feet to defend. Quick guards who often need less space to create should
have that more often. Obviously it won't be as dramatic as a move to 22'
or
more would have been, but I expect to see some differences.
