I went looking for another site and ended up at a wrong one called
FansOnly.com The point is that after just 2 minutes on the site I run
across these. I just think these things happen every where and though I
don't condone any of them we are just more critical of our own team because
we see and hear everything because we are local.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Former Louisville basketball player Bryant Northern
pleaded guilty Wednesday to theft and forgery charges.
Nothern will go into a felony diversion program for two years. If he meets
the terms of the program, including keeping a clean criminal record and
graduating from college, his plea will be set aside and charges will be
wiped from his record.
Louisville coach Rick Pitino kicked Northern off the team last month.
Northern, who will have to pay a fine, told the court that he was sorry for
his crime.
"I've been embarrassed and my family has been humiliated over the situation.
I'm ready to move on with my life and continue my education," Northern said.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Heshimu Evans, a forward on Kentucky's 1998 NCAA
championship team, was arrested after police said he left the scene of an
accident.
Evans, 28, was arrested about 10 p.m. Thursday, Lexington police Lt. Dwayne
Holman said. Holman said Evans was involved in an accident in a parking lot.
Evans was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving with an
expired temporary tag, having no insurance and operating on a suspended or
revoked drivers' license, Holman said. Evans posted bond shortly after being
arrested.
Evans played for Kentucky for two seasons after transferring from Manhattan
College. He was the sixth man on the Wildcats' 1998 championship team and
started for Kentucky the following season.
He is the second member of those Kentucky teams to be arrested recently.
Wayne Turner, a guard at Kentucky from 1995-99, was arrested in Boston after
police found a loaded handgun in his car. He pleaded innocent to charges of
illegal possession of a firearm and a weapon with a big supply chamber. He
faces an Aug. 18 court date.

Backing off Jamar for ANY reason is a mistake IMO and likely neverhappened.
Jamar is likely going to be a great player and is a local Ohio kid whoyou
wanted to be a Bearcat his whole life (tongue in cheek).....so WHY would
do anything to jeopardize his verbal commitment.
I'd say Jamar backed out, UC didn't.
I agree. I think our being happy with Banks, and saying (sort of) good
riddance to Butler is a lot of rationalization. Our first choice to go to
the prom turned us down (or started playing hard to get, if you prefer) so
we took someone else instead, who we are now saying is just as pretty and
has a better personality, or whatever.
As far as to why Butler actually began to have a change of heart, my
speculation is that it is simply that he wanted to be with his friend
Terwilliger at OSU. Once he made that decision, he had to come up with a
'better' reason, so he said something about academics.
BTW, note how close UC was to having a *great* start on next year's class.
Had they landed Terwilliger, they would have had Butler. They just miss
A.J. Johnson. A real bummer.

So what do you all think of this scenario regarding Jamar Butler.
Bearcat staff finds out there is a strong possibilty that Isaiah Swann
commit if he is told he can play the one (there is a report on theone).
recruiting page that he will commit to a school where he can play the
2.
Staff brings this up with Jamar and asks if he will consider playing the
Jamar wants to play the point. Meanwhile Terwilliger and OSU are telling
Jamar he can play the point.
Staff starts looking for a relacement for Jamar should he consider going
elsewhere and find Vincent Banks willing to commit.
Jamar Decommits, opening door for Swann.
Just some thoughts...But if the staff can land Swann and get a similar
player to replace Butler, it could turn out to be a really good class.
But when are they going to land a center...
