FW: Butler slams UC after picking OSU

I'm guessing that this whole situation came down to Jamar being "concerned" by the public recruitment of Swann. Jamar may have tried to call UC's bluff with Swann. In a game of brinksmanship, the Butlers may have made the announcement of opening up the recruitment to force UC to rethink their strategy. Huggs may have asked them not to do this and then when they did, the rest all fell into motion. Once Jamar had the door shut on him, he felt the need to somehow justify his decision. High School kids are rarely in a position to have "opinions" about the academic credibility of a particular college. Since he knew that it was a sore spot with our past, it was the only thing that he could point to in order to get a jab in.

The other believable scenario is that he just wanted to play with Twig and anything else that happened was just a filler story to explain his actions.

It is quite unfair in that most of the colleges at UC are very reputable on a national level. Yet our so called "reputation" is based on the standards of University College, which if I'm not mistaken, is being phased out.

I wouldn't doubt any of that Randy, but I disagree
when you say he had to give SOME reason. All he had
to do is say OSU is a better fit, he'll be happy
there, etc. Whether or not it was his idea to
discredit UC's academics, he still chose to say it.
Speaking as someone who holds a Mechanical Engineering
degree from UC, one of the best programs out there,
I'm offended by what he said.
