RE: Butler slams UC after picking OSU

I know that OSU was not the only school to continue recruiting Jamar
after he verballed.

Verbally committing to a school simply reduces the amount of recruiting,
it doesn't stop the process.

So what I've heard so far is that OSU continued to recruit Jamar even
after he verbally committed to UC, then went and talked badly about UC
by bringing up non-factual information about UC's graduation rates.

Sounds like a fine institution they're running over there. Maybe Jamar
changed his mind because he walked out of school one day and found
$10,000 worth of A/V equipment in his car ;)

I'd like to offer the possibility that Jamar did have all the facts, but
his new school may have put a bug in his ear to say something about
academics. It would be an easy 'out' and an excuse that everyone (in
the media) would accept as logical.

Plus both Huggins and Jamar's father are quoted as saying academics
could not have been the reason.

Shame that Jamaar doesn't have facts on both schools. The latest NCAA
report uses the 1995-96 freshman class (since it is the latest class
that finished the 6 year eliglible period).

Basketball:
Ohio State - 38%
Cincinnati - 100%
