Even more info from The Post:
"Kirkland pleaded not guilty today in Municipal Court to misdemeanor counts of domestic violence and assault.
He also was ordered to have no contact with the girl police said Kirkland slapped, pushed and tried to choke.
If Kirkland violates the temporary protective order - calls, emails or contacts her in any way - he could face a sentence of six months in jail in addition to any jail time a conviction in the case could bring."

Subject: [UC Basketball] Update on Kirkland
Based on this story:

I would not be surprised if Kirkland's girlfriend initiated the contact
(biting is VERY painful) and then, Kirkland responded to try to defend
himself. Remember too that Kirkland was the one who called the police.
I expect Kirkland not to be suspended.
BTW...it's nice to see Jason Williams do some actual investigation and
reporting on this incident. If you only read the Cincy Enquirer story, you
are left with a very different impression of this incident.
