The sports section here in yesterday's paper discussed Athletic Directors
all across the nation, at great length.  It also provided a chart with the
compensation packages for AD's in all the major conferences.  Though a few
of the colleges refused to respond most did, and the result makes it even
more amazing that UC is in the position that it is with respect to having
someone as AD the quality of Goin, since he is at the bottom of the
compensation list.  While his compensation may not be the absolute lowest,
including all of C-USA, his packages appears to certainly put him in the
bottom 10% looking at the packages for the AD's in the Big 11, 12, East,
ACC, SE, etc.
