Slats out of SL Playoffs ?

Here is a thought - 

According to the SL schedule, Slats plays the undefeated Maaco team this
Saturday, which is the last day of the 'season'.  Since Slats is 2-5 and
tied for last place, lets assume they lose to the undefeated Maaco team.
(sorry, being realistic)

If that happens, they will likely end the season in ninth place and will
be locked out of the 8 team playoff setup.  Therefore, this Saturday may
be the last chance to see our new recruits and favorite players until
Midnight Madness.  

The only chance is if they beat Maaco and in a previous head to head
against the other last place team (McCluskey), they had won.  I don't
recall if they won or not.  I'm also assuming the Cin Post has the
accurate standings in this mornings paper. 

Does anyone recall players jumping ship to other teams once the playoffs
have begun in past years ?
