Based on his attitude I bet hell be here for two years. I think that Whaley will find out real fast how competitive it is at a top Division 1 program. Granted our interior offense and defense stunk but becoming a first round draft pick from a college team is very difficult to do nowadays.

Save for the tragic incident, the strategy paid off,
and I hope Huggs does the same thing, given another
opportunity.
I must say, however, I am surprised Whaley considers
himself in such a position to stay only one year.

This kind of thing
has been happening for some time. I think Stephon
Marbury did it at
GTech in 1996 and others likely did it before that.
- I'm not sure how the Enquirer's Xavier-based
writer ended up with a
UC-based assignment. Wouldn't be surprised if Whaley
said the same
things to Williams at the Post, its just Williams
wrote it differently.

First, I DO NOT like the Big 10. We are a better fit
in the Big East.
Second, is it me or are Whaley's quotes this morning
telling? Why did he
come here if he only intends to spend one year? Does
he not have
anything else to learn from one of the games best
teachers (Huggs)?
Heaven forbid he come here with the attitude that he
wants to be
successful on the court and in the classroom for the
next two years. He
has a shady past and lands in the Nati talking like
the type of kid who
is ruining our program and college bkb. in general.
Shouldn't UC coach
kids on what to say and what not to say to the press
BEFORE they open
their immature mouths? Who is recruiting these kids
anyway?
