Re: How is Robert Whaley?

Whaley's preliminary hearing is set for June 26th. The general consensus is that his charges will likely be dropped to misdemeanors but you never know when a D.A. is going to use a case to try to make a big name for him/herself. Whaley's past problems and mental issues might come into play, but I hope not.

My question is, will A.D. Goins allow Whaley to join the team if the charges are dropped to misdemeanors?

No doubt that Williams sounds like a winner. Fla papers also indicate he is
a demon on defense.
Onto another recriut. Any info on the Whaley situation? He has the date
in late July. Other than that I have heard/read nothing. No doom/gloom or
optimism that things will work out for the kid. Anyone have anything that
is goin on?

It was very difficult getting news about Nick Williams since he
committed to Cincinnati in November.
The Post has a nice article that triples everything I knew about him in
this mornings paper.

Probably the best news is that he will play in the Summer League. I had
heard that our recruits may not be able to do so, or only play late in
he SL 'season'.

I think Williams will be a pleasant surprise this season.

PS - that picture with the article really IS Nick Williams . He looks
real young.
