No we cannot due to the ridiculous 5/8 rule. We can
sign three players next year (assuming Whaley's LOI is
not cancelled) and that's it, unless I'm not
interpreting properly.

He's a student of the game because he got schooled
so much. You think he could have gone somewhere a
little better than TSU, 2-25 last year. Possibly the
worst division I basketball program in the country.
If you go to their site and bring up the basketball
coaching staff page, it's blank. That can't be good.
Plus they are best known for a head coach who
brought a gun to campus to protect himself from a
chain swinging assistant coach. I guess he figures
if he's going to sit one year to play one year he
wanted to go somewhere he would start. Rod was a
rarity among recent UC big men because he
disappointed us primarily on the court, as opposed
to off the court. He was a good kid that took care
of his business but never seemed to progress, good
luck Rod.
