Well put Jon. Eric has a bright future ahead of him. Let's hope we only
read about positive activity on the basketball court and the classroom.

I know it does not say he will, but you can probably read between the lines.
How about the charge of extortion on Simmons? She certainly comes across as
an intelligent and fun-loving person. I wonder if her past history was why
the grand jury reduced the charges.
I have been vocal about Bearcat players needing to "do the right thing" and
Eric obviously should have walked away here, but there was something fishy
about this whole thing all along and now I am going so far as to wonder if
Eric was purposely baited. Seriously, you have a person (Simmons) who has a
history of run-ins with the law including a bar fight who allegedly then
tried to extort money from UC to not file charges. I'd still like to know
why she was not charged.
I am not excusing Eric as you have to be bigger and walk away (not sure if I
would have, but retaliating is not right), but it seems a bit fishy. I hope
he chooses to avoid the bar scene (unlike Donald did).
