Actually I got this idea a few years back when Huggins was asked his
opinion on the sport his daughter was playing. The original idea came
from him. I can't take credit. No goalie equals less defense? If you
had a guy stand in front of the hoop with a broom, would players play
better defense? I don't think so.

What does a goalie have to do with it being a sport or
not. That might be one of the more ignorant things
I've heard on this forum in a while. You remove the
goalie and the scores would be similar to basketball
scores, which would make it so unchallenging and very
boring to watch.

Oh, lets not go there. If you like hockey, youshould like soccer.
I don't like hockey either. This isn't Canada,
eh!!! ;) Icing makes
zero sense to me.
If I could see the strategy element in soccer I'd
probably warm up to
it, but I just don't see it on the same level as
football/basketball/baseball...
Didn't mean to start a pro vs. con soccer debate,
just my $0.02! Shawn
P.S. I'll admit it's fun to watch in Irish/English
pubs w/ rowdy fans
though!
