I can't show you another example of that type of advantage in the tournament
because there are no other teams that rely so heavily on jump shooting
because of the lack of inside game and lack of penetration. Lenny was
penetrating so he wasn't drawing fouls and our point guard never penetrates.
If you don't see that then you might want to rewatch the game. The
traveling call on Max was a horrible call, but was just one play. Every
game ever played is gonna have a couple of bad calls. I thought the refs
were especially bad the fact remains, without an inside game and lack of
penetration you will not shoot free throws. How else do you draw fouls, by
standing around and passing it around the perimeter and firing up 27 three
point shots.
Against UL Kirk and especially Lenny was penetrating through the lane and
drawing fouls.
It's so simple, you show mean another team that plays like UC does and I'll
show you the stats.

Subject: RE: [UC Basketball] Task
Thanks, that really clears things up!
So, please show me another game like UC's with the 37-10
advantage in the tournament.
Was the push on Max = travel a good call? Was it a crucial
call overall in the game? Were there no other calls that
could have gone the other way? I do not believe that it is
as simple as you make it sound. Why did UC shoot so many
free throws against UL at the Shoe - total homer game?
Show us another game where one guy shoots twice as many
free throws as the other team. It does not happen often.
If it is so simple, show me the stats?

The free throw difference is nothing but UC's fault alone.
It's hard to draw fouls when you never attack the basket
and your only inside presence is a turn around fade away
jump shot.
UC was a jump shooting team all year and those type of
teams can't make it in today's game. No inside game and no
penetration = no free throws. It doesn't get any simpler
than that.
