I also don't think turning down an NIT invite would be a good idea. They
would most likely get a really high seed and have the chance to win it all.
This would give them a good start going into next season, and the building
blocks to make a strong run. Look what happened to Memphis last year, Tulsa
the year before. But I don't think it's gonna come to that, this team is in
the NCAA tourney, abeit a low seed, but in the tourney regardless. That RPI
is nice, but the SOS is even better. This team played a tougher schedule
then they usually do, considering the talent and inexperience. Another
reason why this team will get in, is the down year college basketball is
having overall. You got bubble teams like NC St., MSU, Tenn, ASU, TT, Col
who are really average but might get in. The only thing that I think can
hurt us now is the selection committee choosing a good mid major like
Gonzaga, Butler, or South. Ill instead of Cincy. I hate mid majors.
