im seriously starting to doubt huggins ability to coach an offense. ive liked him a lot in the past, but this year is putting me over the edge. dont blame anything on tony, yea hes missed a few shots, but when he actually gets free for an open shot he drains it. thing is, we never have any movement to get him open so he hoists up shit with guys in his face. i dont blame him, SOMEBODYS gotta try to score since we have to offense whatsoever.
pass it around the arc for 25 seconds (with barker in the game) and then a) have lenny take it to the lane, b) feed it to max and let him shoot a turnaround, c) wait til field or tony get frustrated and launch a 3, i dont blame anyone for bad shooting this year cuz we havent had any sets to get us any good looks. notice how easy it was in the first half when krik or chadd would take just a few easy dribbles into the lane and dish.....whaddya KNOW???? you draw the defense in and get somebody open for a shot! wow, what a concept bob!!! REALIZE TAHT TARON NEVER DOES THAT!!!!! there is a LOT of offensive talent on this team and a lot coming back next year. i suggest to huggybear on finding a way to exploit that talent. we should be an 85-90pt/game team next year, honestly.
as far as the tournament, our RPI should get us in, along with our reputation, but i dont see us going anywhere cuz our offense wont be fixed in a week, so all we can hope for is to hit some more shots with guys right in our faces
or if kirk plays 30 mins and barker stays at UC we might win the whole damn thing

I do not agree with the classless decision to refuse a bid to the NIT if that happens. This team is second tier and should at least play with the other second tier teams in the tournament if invited. I would like to see much more effort at least though. Refusing a bid is something that teams I hate such as Duke or North Carolina would do, so let's not spiral any lower this year.
What on earth has Bobbitt done to earn all of that playing time? Was it quitting the team, taking terrible forced shots or getting burned on defense (extreme sarcasm)? And I would love to know why Kirkland (one of the only real sparks lately on either end) sat on the bench the whole second half. I hope that I don't hear some lame comment from Huggins like "Honestly, I just forgot about him down there." I do remember hearing such things before.
Also, who doubts that we would have won this game if Huggins had instituted a rule where you sit if you shoot a 3? For a team who has not made shots to think that bombing 3s will bring success is absurd, and anyone who hoisted one before moving toward the hoop or looking for a pass down low should have been benched.
Oh well, what a depressing year for Bearcats basketball. The story has been lack of effort and lack of basketball fundamentals.
