Tarons defense was so good that he allowed Dwayne Wade to have 27 points on
8-14 shooting, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. That's why we play Taron over
Chad??

Everyone keeps calling for Chad because of his "good" moments, but seem to
ignore his "bad" moments. But then they are hypocritical when applying the
same logic to Barker. Ignoring the good things and focus on the bad things.
Chad has been bad alot more than good and Barker has been good alot more
than bad. I still think they complement each other well and agree that I'd
like to see Huggins work him in more, but at Barker's worst on Sat., he was
not as bad as Chad's 3 minute stretch.

So from a 3 minute stretch Huggs knows what Chad will do in theand
second half? Barker looked like crap at times. His turnovers
were REALLY bad. I just feel that the faster players would be
worth a shot to change things up. Chad has a really nice runner
and he did hit the ONLY UC free throw in the first half ;-)
I am sorry for saying the same thing all year, but Huggs needs
these guys this year, there are no other bulletts (that you
would want to put in the gun ;-) )

Andy, you have the tape. Go back and watch again from 7 minutes to 4
opponentsanswer your own question.

After seeing UC pushed around this year, I am really lookingCats
forward to next year ;-)
On to the CUSA tournament and some pay backs.
Why didn't Chad play Moore? The box has him for 3 minutes and
I saw him play from 7 something to 4 something so I assume
that he sat the whole second half, while Taron slowed things
down and tossed the ball around the lot...

I'm not usually one to complain about officiating, but I thought the
calls thatgot homered today. There were also a couple of out of bounds
Kirklandshould've gone our way.
Oh well. I thought we played a good game today, but we just got
beat by Mr.
Wade.

Huggs also said that Kirk can not guard as well as "those other
guys". Did anyone catch Scott Springer using the I don't know
Chuck quote in BSD?
I have watched abou 7 minutes of the tape so far and it is clear
to me how the game was reffed. Stokes on a break away with Merritt
moving over under him - charge. Max set while Wade goes in the
air - block. Deiner clearly carrys the ball and takes 3 steps
with ball in his hand - no call. Ouch, it was bad. Wade gets
calls like West does.
Too bad, I am at the 16-9 point and the Stokes play would have made
it 19-9 and then Barker steals the ball and throws it away! They
could have been up large very early - but they were not.
They still showed signs... Now lets how they are no longer
circling the block and have turned the right corner. Huggs
sounded like a forum member as far as Kirk goes ;-)

The other guys don't defend, don't rebound and don't score.
at
least scores the ball. Hence, the increased playing time. Ireally like
the upside on Kirkland. I think once he learns to harness his
potential, he
is going to prove to be a tremendous match-up problem for
next
just aboutseason.
Huggins also stated that he thinks this team can play with
looks thatanybody IF it makes shots. Williams had several wide open
he
could not make.
