RE: We need Moore!

One huge difference that was apparent las tnight between Moore
and Barker is where each player sets up on top. Moore sets up
very high and Barker is much lower (within two paces of the 3
point line). This does not allow Barker to swing the ball from
side to side as easily because he does not have a clear path.

The other huge thing is that Moore knows where he is going to
pass or dribble to before he gets the ball, therefore, the
action happens much faster and can not be guarded as easily.

Moore also breaks down the D off of the bounce very easily.
They tried to press him and after several rounds of chasing
him up the floor they gave up. They did not give up on
Barker. They could not keep up with Kirk either.

This team has a shot, as long as the guys get to play...
The freshman and Bobbit must play (along with Stokes, Barker,
Max and Field).

I haven't been a big fan of Moore seeing more minutes just because Barker
has been so strong with the ball, but last night changed my mind. We just
seemed like a much better passing team with Chad in the game. Maybe it was
because of the tempo of the game, or Kirkland, or it was just UAB. I don't
know, but they just looked better moving the ball last night...

I've got no argument against that except that Chad is playing against
weaker teams. However, he brings something that Barker doesn't which
is the ability to make some happen on offense. But we've seen Huggins
does not have an aversion to putting the best player out there and Chad
probably had more than his opportunity in practice.
