I can believe this. One has to consider:
1. UC has a very strong schedule
2. UC has beaten 3 teams that at the time were in the top 10 of the RPI
3. The teams UC has lost to are not slouches. Granted, most of us consider
the losses to DePaul, SLU and Charlotte to be unacceptable but none of these
are bad teams.
4. Margin of victory/loss is not considered at all by the RPI or by the
NCAA selection committee. A one point win is every bit as good as a 30
point win. Style points don't count.

The new RPI seedings are out. They have UC listed as a #7 seed.
Unbelievable. For comparison, the other #7s are California, Purdue and
Missouri.
Marquette is a 2, and both Louisville and Memphis are 5 seeds.
