He has 35 offensive boards in 300 minutes, by far the most/time played on the team. There's your 3-4 offensive boards per 40 minutes. Now, take into account he's playing the 4 or 5 and up against guys 5 to 6" taller than he is and i'd say his going pretty hard on the offensive glass. Not to mention 35 of his 82 rbs are offensive. Nice loss last night guys, GREAT effort in the 2nd half............what is it about this team that it seems they could be SO good but for some reason they don't put forth the effort to prove it!??!!!!!! FRUSTRATING!!!

Say What!?!?! The guy has very, very limited offensive skills at this point.
I love his effort, and he has great length, but at this point he has no shot
and no post moves. I don't see any reason for the offense to go through him.
What he needs to do to get more PT is to rebound the ball on the offensive
end. There's no reason with his length, strength, and hops that he shouldn't
get at least 3-4 offensive boards a game, especially when we're shooting
under 40%. Man, there's a ton of opportunity there for him....

Just my opinion...

I support Eric Hicks!

Eric Hicks may be the MVP of our team this year. Nobody else on the team
has put more of a consistent effort or has more consistent hands to GRAB
rebounds, GRAB loose balls, GRAB errant passes and DUNK BALLS HARD. The one
problem is that Huggins still refuses to let Hicks be part of the offense.
We never attempt to try to get him the ball down low to see if he can beat a
bigger and slower defender with his quickness. We never even run the
offense through him unless its a swin pass around the arc 30 feet from the
basket! I know most of his shots he's taken have been ugly at times but
that's because whenever he actually does get the ball he is so surprised
that he decides to just chuck one up. If we do give him a few oppurunitues
we may find he can get us some easy baskets and free up Max from some double
teams eventually. Enough of this bombing 3-pters and making 5-30, lets
start dunking some basketballs. And, not to mention, if Hicks starts
getting involved in the of!
fense I think his defensive intensity will only get even better. BOO
Louisville!!
