RE: Amazing performance

Although a very good offensive performance, I think
the 101 points is deceptive, simply due to the amount
of fouls called, and subsequent clock stoppages. No
complaints here, though :-D

They had a real test today after the half, they
needed to answer
the bell in the second half against a team that is
in supposedly
great shape, has tons of players and is a top-5
team. Well they
did that. Pitino had pulled his starters in the
second half as
punishment and he was PISSED. He still looked
really good in
his Chilren's Sized Armani ;-)

This team showed that they understood what it meant
to suck it
up and play. Yes that should piss you off because
if their
opponent is not in the top-10 they do not show up,
but...

There is always a but. What if they make it to the
NCAA on a
roll? They could be a very dangerous team, because
if they
can roll 101 on UL, stomp Oregon and beat OSU, is
there a team
that they can not beat? It is definitely an "if",
but I think
if they get passed that Damned second round, they
could do
some damage. They have a ton of weapons and
amazingly their
lack of a "center" did not seem to hurt them against
a UL team
that started 4 guys taller than 6'6".

Test #2 is against ECU. If they roll them off the
floor by 25+,
then they move on to the next test. If it is a
close game or
they (let's not go there), then you have to pull
some more
hair out of your head....

Were were lucky enough to have UL fans sitting next
to us for
the whole game (two sets). The second set was a
drunken Red
Neck that was screaming at the top of her lungs and
shaking
her pom poms. Everyone around us was laughing,
because if
she cheared like that when they were 34 down, she
must be
something when they have a lead ;-)

Oh yeah, I wore shorts tonight and will wear them to
the next
two games. I also did not tape the game, so that is
out too ;-)

Subject: [UC Basketball] Amazing performance

That is UC's 3rd win over a top 10 team this
season. And that's
3 convincing wins over top 10 teams. All I can
say right now is
WOW! It is amazing how much better this team is
offensively
when Bobbitt makes shots. And the effort today
was there. This
cannot be a repeat of the Oklahoma State win where
UC fell flat
for two games following a big win. This momentum
MUST continue
into the rest of the season.
