Actually I think it was the 2 foul shots that sort of got his stroke going -
he'd missed all his shots before being fouled, going to the line and sinking
both, and I don't think either of them even touched the rim. My heavens, if
only he'd be that way every game, and we get that kind of effort out of
Kareem, who knows where this team could wind up.

Well, I'm really happy about the effort and the win, but I'm still not
sold on Bobbitt. I just can't stand players that take bad shots, and Tony
took 3 or so before he got in the groove. So, I think Tony needs more
discipline, not more playing time. Maybe Huggs should keep track of all
the bad shots that Tony takes, and make him run 10 laps for each bad shot.
Don't worry about whether his shots go in or not, just hold him
accountable for bad shot selection.
I thought Barker had a great game. He handled the press very well.
I am beginning to like Hicks more and more. Sure, he didn't rebound
quite as well as usual, and he is lost on D at times, but at least he is
trying to play within himself, give good effort, and not jack up a shot
every time he gets the ball.
Kirkland was up to his usual antics. Maybe Huggs is right about his
potential, but he sure has a long way to go.
