It's hard to tell what Bobbitt would do. Usually shooters need to get
comfortable with the offense and find their niche. That's hard to do getting
only 10-15 minutes playing time per game.

Am I one of a select few who thinks that playing Bobbitt more may not be
much of a good thing? It's not like the guy is shooting the lights out
from the field this season. Take away his 6-11 3-point shooting against
Oregon, and Tony is 14-57 (25%) on the year. I think if I was playing
UC, I wouldn't be worrying too much about Tony. I know, Tony has the
potential to score 30 points on any given night, but so far, he's only
had one good game out of 17 games so far this year.

(Here's Tony's 3-point statistics game-by-game this year):

1-6
2-5
2-4
2-7
0-1
0-3
6-11
1-4
1-2
0-5
0-2
DNP
1-2
0-1
2-8
0-1
2-6

If adding Bobbitt to the lineup helps get our offense get going, I'm all
in favor of it. I'm just not all that confident that it's gonna make a
difference.

I like the idea of Bobbit and Field on the floor together, unfortunately
that means either stokes, or barker/moore are sitting. I do not have
any
problem with this, however I think Huggins will.

What about this for an idea....Move Max to the 5, and Hicks to the 4?
Seems
only logical, that Hicks is much more suited to the 4 then the 5.

Does anyone honestly believe we will win C-USA?

I Do. They have the talent, it is a matter of whether or not
Huggs uses that talent properly. I talked to Randy today
about what they need to do and his idea of why some of the
guys are out of place is a great one. I really think if Huggs
were to go to a dual platoon team where one group was
deliberate and the other was street ball, that UC would utilize
their talent and be very difficult to prepare for and deal with
in a game.

The other key factor that may not have been evident from Randy's
earlier post is that getting the 5 guy out from the block area
would free up some space for Max. Right now, the 5 stands down
low, does not rebound the week side and brings their man right
to Max so that they can easily double him. If this were removed
it would make them work harder to double and to cover the 5 if
he were moved to the high post.

One other thing we talked about was playing Bobbitt and Field
at the same time. Imagine those two on the perimeter in a fixed
spot, you penetrate and pitch it back out. That would force the
other team to stay honest on their D and not allow them to
double down as easily on Max.

I think that there are many things that could be done with this
team, but I am not sure if UC is capable of doing something
differently. I have said it all year: what worked in the past
is not necessarily the best thing for every team. This year is
the most "different" that Huggs has had, and I am hoping he
finally says, "Go play" to that second set of guys. We saw
glimpses of that in the Oregon game.

The team may also implode as Randy mentioned ;-)
