Yeah, but...man, it's just hard to stomach.

If we're going to be this bad, then I say play the freshmen as much as
possible and get them ready for next season. No more Kareem or Derek
Hollman in the rotation. Throw Chadd, Armein, and Eric to the wolves and
get them more experience and hunger for next year. And who knows, maybe
they can turn it around this year. I can stomach watching freshmen make
fools of themselves much easier than I can stomach juniors and seniors make
fools of themselves. At least then we've got some hope.

Lets face it, this team is just outmanned. Huggs expected to have Little
and Grove, so we cannot blame him for the lack of recruiting/center. We
have been able to win up until now because we had more talent, now we are
facing teams that we knew comming in, are better TEAMS! Don't worry, we
are
entitled to have an off year. Next year, only two players from this
starting 5 will be starting again. So it will be a completely revamped
team.

I am just now getting over the shock that I witnessed today. It is
something that I'm just not accustomed to viewing from my seat at The
Shoemaker.

I actually left my seat with three minutes left in the first half just to
step outside and clear my head. I have NEVER left my seat before halftime
or before the end of a game, never. It is just so hard to watch them not
go hard in a game, I just don't understand it. They knew (I would think)
what it entailed to play at Cincinnati, yet they are not delivering to
the
level that everyone thought/thinks they can.

I'm not a bandwagon fan by no means, but I actually left with five
minutes
to go in the game. :-( If I had to do it over, I think I still would
have,
that is what's bothering me...lol. Listening to Huggs in the postgame,
my
heart goes out to the guy. Throughout his tenure here at UC, there would
be games that on paper or by looking out on the court, we had no business
winning against those teams. Cincinnati would beat them with heart and
effort.

Can you guys give me your opinion here. Is the light going to 'turn on'
for
these kids?? Are they finally going to get what it means to be a
Bearcat??
All it is, is leaving it out on the court. Nothing more, nothing less.
If these guys don't mount any better effort Wednesday, UL will bury them
by
thirty points or more. You can bank on it. I can't think of another
coach
that I'd hate to see do it to Cincinnati other than the Spaghetti Sauce
Man
himself. He is going to try an make a statement, in a HUGE way. I hope
the kids respond.

Pardon the lengthy post. :-)
