Jon,

I think your description below fits both the UMass game and last year's
Marquette game equally well.

"Electric crowd start to finish".
"Excitement of opening up a huge lead, having them come back, but then pulling
it out over a top team was huge."
"Even during the loss of the lead, the crowd was crazy loud."

Sounds just like last years Marquette game doesn't it?

I was at both games, and both were great, but my vote went to the Marquette
game.

Here's hoping that Saturday's Marquette game comes close to matching last years
game.

I just went and voted, and I am in the BIG TIME minority. I voted for what
I thought was the most exciting game (as the poll suggests), not the best
finish or the one that made me happiest, etc. I voted for the UMASS game.
IMHO, the crowd has never been so electric, start to finish, in anyother
game (ever) at the Shoe. Others may disagree, but the excitement of opening
up a huge lead, having them come back, but then pulling it out over a top
team was huge. Even during the loss of the lead, the crowd was crazy loud.
That is why I voted for the UMass game.

I know the poll is already up and running, but I wanted to mention a
couple of more that should have been contenders, IMHO

The victory over UNC-Charlotte circa 1998, Ruben Patterson takes last
shot, someone else puts it in?

The loss (yes, losses can be exciting) to Xavier circa 1997, the one where
Charles Williams dribbled the ball off of his foot, X then makes last
shot.

A victory over Rhode Island, Michael Horton has an excellent game.

Another poll question to have sometime is most exciting Bearcat games
during Huggs era, no matter where they are played.
