Sheez, classic response: that's the way we do it here, always
worked in the past. It is NOT working and the college game is
about the students (on the floor and in the stands). If you
lose that link you are changing the fundamental aspect of the
game. IMO you HAVE to go after your own students, and UC should
not take the old fart attitude of too bad for them.
This is the same argument I was making with Huggs and the
freshmen of TODAY. They are NOT the freshmen of years ago and
if you want to reach them, YOU have to change and adapt. Times
change, you can either change with them or become Archie Bunker.

Come on folks. Cincinnati is one of the top 10 basketball
programs of all time. If the students don't want to come watch
the Bearcats play, too bad for them. I don't think we have to
lure students who get in free anyway with "gifts" or other
inducements. If the students don't want to come, just sell their
tickets. The athletic department then gets $22 per ticket rather
than $0.
